JieLi (JL) Bluetooth Test Box: Wireless Upgrade Instructions

 

Method 1: Wireless Upgrade of Prototype via SD Card

  1. Use the configuration tool to set the name of the prototype to be connected to avoid mistakenly connecting to and upgrading other prototypes.
  2. Insert the SD card containing the .buf file into the card slot of the test box.
  3. Once connected to the prototype, the upgrade starts immediately, enabling the update of the prototype's firmware and Bluetooth name.
  4. Display: 1) Prototype Bluetooth name; 2) Upgrade progress. After completion, a beep sound is played, and the test box begins searching for the next prototype.

Note: If the test box loses power or encounters an issue during the upgrade, the prototype can still be searched and upgraded again (prototypes support re - upgrade; the Bluetooth name during re - upgrade is BT_UPDATA, supported by the AC690x series).

For AC690x_SDK_211 and above, if the key does not match, the upgrade will not proceed, and the test box will display the corresponding error during the upgrade process.

Method 2: Wireless Upgrade of Prototype via PC (Convenient for Development and Debugging Without USB Interface)

  1. Long - press the 4th button and connect the prototype to the PC via a slave cable to enter configuration mode (refer to the configuration process above).
  2. Navigate to the prototype upgrade section, which displays up to 4 devices to be upgraded (showing Bluetooth names and addresses). The test box dynamically scans for nearby Bluetooth devices. Click the "Get Devices to Upgrade" button to refresh the device list. Select the devices to upgrade, open the .bfu file, and click "Upgrade."

3. To upgrade by specifying a Bluetooth name, select the "Upgrade by Name" option, enter the Bluetooth name of the device to be upgraded, open the .bfu file, and click "Upgrade." The upgrade process will display "Upgrading, please wait."

4. Alternatively, modify the download.bat file in the prototype project to specify the Bluetooth name for upgrading. Update the download.bat as shown below and click to download (requires updating isd_download.exe in the prototype project to support specified parameters).

Example: If the prototype Bluetooth name is sound_box, add the parameter %TEST_BOX_WIRELESS_UPDATE% to the download command line. Without this parameter, it performs a regular download; with it, the upgrade is done wirelessly via a one - to - two test box.

Note: If the test box loses power or encounters an issue during the upgrade, the prototype can still be searched and upgraded again (re - upgrade supported; Bluetooth name must be changed to BT_UPDATA, supported by the AC690x series).

5. During the upgrade, the test box screen displays the device name and progress. Upon success, the PC shows a "Upgrade Successful" prompt; if an error occurs, the corresponding error message is displayed. For AC690x_SDK_211 and above, if the key does not match, the upgrade will not proceed, and the test box will display the corresponding error during the upgrade process.

KT148A Voice Chip Issue: Difficult to Play with Code Sending - Normal Playback After Grounding Pin 4, What’s the Reason?

Problem Description: Hello, we’ve encountered an issue and would appreciate your support: With the KT148A chip, after powering on, sending the code rarely triggers playback. However, if we use tweezers to briefly short Pin 4 (PB0) to ground and then send the code again, playback works normally. What could be causing this?
